As you know from recent district communications, Weber School District is currently conducting two studies that directly impact our school:
The possible closure of Lomond View Elementary
If Lomond View closes, the development of new boundaries for our students, determining whether they would attend Orchard Springs or North Ogden Elementary
Studying both the potential closure and the subsequent boundary changes at the same time ensures there is adequate time and careful consideration for each process.
As part of this effort, Lomond View Elementary has formed a Local Boundary Study Team, which includes community representatives from every area within our school’s boundaries. This follows WSD Policy 6250. Their role is to listen to your input and ensure the voices of all neighborhoods are represented.
I encourage you to review the attached map, which shows your zone and the community representative assigned to your area. By clicking on their name and completing the form, you can share your thoughts or concerns regarding the boundary adjustment.
Additionally, we invite you to a public Open House at Orchard Springs on October 9, 2025, at 6:00 pm. District leaders will present boundary options and take public comment. Your input is a vital part of this process.
